LAWN CARE & STRING TRIMMING SERVICE DISCLOSURE & LIABILITY WAIVER
1. Turf Care Boundaries and Conditions
Inclusions & Exclusions: Mowing and string trimming services apply strictly to established turf areas. Overgrown weeds, fields, brush clearing, and embankments with a slope exceeding 25 degrees are excluded due to operator safety limits.
Weather Adjustments: To prevent muddy tire ruts, turf compaction, or severe grass scalping, the Contractor reserves the right to delay or skip schedules during periods of excessive rainfall, pooling water, or severe drought.
2. Property Preparation & Lawn Debris
Pre-Mow Clearance: The Client must ensure the lawn is clear of all foreign objects including toys, tools, hoses, pet waste, rocks, trash bins, and lawn furniture prior to the scheduled service day.
Projectiles & Debris Damage: The Contractor is not liable for damage to items left in the grass, nor for indirect damage (e.g., shattered windows or torn siding) caused by the mower blade or string trimmer striking items that were obscured by the turf.
3. String Trimming (Weed Whacking) & Property Damage Waivers
Vinyl Siding Disclaimer: String trimming requires close proximity to structures. Vinyl siding can become brittle over time due to UV exposure, weather conditions, or age. The Contractor exercises reasonable care but is not liable for cracking, chipping, or marking vinyl siding, downspouts, or low-level utility trim during routine trimming.
Fences and Posts: Manual string trimming around wooden, vinyl, or chain-link fences is performed to manage overgrowth. The Contractor is not liable for minor cosmetic scuffs, discoloration, or wear on fence posts, pickets, or lattice work that results from normal, repetitive trimming contact.
Delicate Finishes: The Client must explicitly notify the Contractor of any highly delicate, painted, or stained surfaces bordering the lawn so that an appropriate buffer zone can be established.
4. Specific Landscape and Utility Disclaimers
Irrigation and Sprinklers: The Contractor is not responsible for damage to flush-mounted, un-marked, or improperly installed underground sprinkler heads, drip lines, or utility valves. The Client must clearly identify or mark any compromised or protruding heads.
Exposed Roots & Low Boundaries: Commercial equipment cannot avoid objects that sit flush with or are hidden by the grass. The Contractor is not liable for gouging or scraping exposed tree roots, unsealed landscape borders, brick pavers, or low-voltage solar lighting located along the immediate turf edge.
5. Pets and Gated Enclosures
Animal Safety: All pets must be safely secured inside the home or a separate enclosure during the service window. Operators will not enter yards where unrestrained animals are present.
Gate Security: While operators exercise care to shut all perimeter gates upon exiting, the Contractor is not liable for the escape of any domestic animals or pets following a service visit. The Client is responsible for inspecting gates before releasing animals.
